The Bible is full of wonderful promises from the Lord. Try this exercise that will bring you great encouragement. For one year in your devotional time, high-light . With some you’ll say, “that will never happen for me.” But it can, you see it’s exciting to believe God for the unbelievable!
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
Believe God For The Unbelievable
Through His mighty power, God can and will do wonderful things in us. Why then does it seem many times that we feel like we are on our own? Could it be that we have become too self-sufficient?
How about when we are doing things for God – like church ministries, outreaches, and witnessing? Could it be that too many times we operate with our own agenda? We can become so sure of ourselves that we tell God the best way things should be done?
The scripture says He is able to do infinitely more than you or I could ever imagine. God wants you to know that He can do more through you than anything you could ever hope or dream.
What would you like to see God do in your life? Yea, He can do that and more! Do you have dreams for your family members? God has bigger ones! Do you have personal goals you’d like to achieve? God’s are even greater for you!
Have you dreamed some dreams of what you’d love to see happen in your church? God has, and His dreams for His church are HUGE!
Paul’s Prayer and Encouragement
In verse 14 Paul starts praying for the Christians. You can include yourself in this prayer. He prays for you to have the inner strength you need to live in this sinful and wicked world. That your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
He wants you to know how wide, how long, how high, and how deep God’s love is. When we begin to understand God more, then we’ll have a better understanding of His infinite power. Then we’ll live each day saying it’s exciting to believe God for the unbelievable!
Do you need to trust God more? Maybe today you need a genuine encounter with Jesus. Maybe you don’t feel worthy of God’s love, of His power. Regardless, He wants you to be firmly planted in it, understand how far-reaching it is. And experience it.
Finally, do you need greater faith to dream the kind of dreams God has for you? Remember, He can do exceedingly more, abundantly more — than all we could ask or even think up on our own.
Paul ends these encouraging words with
. . . Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20
