Evangelism means preaching, announcing, or otherwise communicating the gospel, our salvation. It’s delivering the message that Jesus Christ is not only the Son of God. But also gave His life as a sacrifice for our sins. In doing so, He ensured eternal life for anyone who believes.
In Christianity, evangelism (or witnessing). Constitutes the act of preaching the gospel with the intention of sharing the message and teachings of Jesus Christ. Christian groups who encourage evangelism sometimes become known as evangelistic or evangelists.
We are told this in John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son. Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” As Jesus tells us in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Accepting that good news and then telling others about it, so they know too, is the definition of evangelism.
