The Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 ancient songs. King David wrote many of them (that is, songs).
There are many different subjects. Many Psalms are glad songs which praise God. Others are sad prayers. Some explain that God will rescue us from our troubles. And some are about the history of Israel. Chapter 119 is about the Bible. In Chapter 51, David confesses an evil deed. The Psalmist in Chapter 22 describes how Jesus would suffer. The second one tells us that God will rule the world and chapter 1 teaches that we must love God.
The Psalms are a very special part of the Bible. We can learn many things about God from their beautiful words. They are in the Bible’s Old Testament.

This song has a distinct chorus and we don’t have to guess what it is. Twenty-six times the Psalmist repeated, “His faithful love endures forever.” Twelve times he said, “give thanks to the Lord, or give thanks to Him.” Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:26 This Psalm … Read more
What reason do we have to give God our thanks? In Psalm 138, David said the Lord will work out his plans for my life. Thanksgiving might be on our calendar one day a year. But when it comes to giving God thanks, it must happen every day of the year. I give you thanks, O LORD, … Read more
The question at hand is, are you living under the shadow of God’s wings? Technically your response only requires a yes or no answer. If your answer is “no,” then what do you say to this question?
